I used to be a typical Malaysian, i always complain about my own country and think that others are superior.
I thought Petronas Twin Tower is a waste of money for a developing country like us until i realized that people around the world recognize Malaysia in the world map because of this building.
I used to think that MAS is a total failure until i tried other airlines. MAS has the best hospitality and friendliest air crews, one of the best entertainment and food...i mean out of all flight food.
I used to think that PLUS highway toll is too expensive. Although now i still think that the government should take over it, our PLUS highway has the best and straight road condition, and with R&R stops along the way and along Peninsular Malaysia.
I used to think only Malaysians who don't queue at LRT station. Actually, people don't queue in Singapore and London too haha. And their subway is crammed like sardine and stinks too. At least we still queue at certain stations like Kelana Jaya and KLCC haha.
I used to think that Proton is the worst car ever producted until i realized other brands (not all) has the same defects too. And not all people in overseas own a car because they don't have cheap cars to buy. I am trying to think positively for this one hehe.
But there are also things that i think Malaysians should change.
First thing, the way we drive and cut queue. Driving is a challenge in Malaysia; even if you don't drive recklessly, others do. Second, i hope Malaysians should learn to say "thank you", at least for cashiers.
Lastly, feel proud of ourselves and appreciate our home country.
