i thought i am reaching season finale of something, then it turns up to be season opening...duh

Happenings:
1. I forget where i wrote my goals for 2008....biasalah tu... :-o

2. I learnt what i've planned to learn, and the unforeseen... :-)

3. I visited bear bear in Hanoi... :-)

4. I am having my own kennel soon... :-)

5. My tour dreams gone with the winds... :-(

6. Someone kissed my car's ass... :-(

7. I slimmed down a bit... :-)

8. I chosed "chicken wing" instead of drumstick... :-(

9. I sit on the longest bench in the world... :-(

10. I have been writing my blog for 1 year... :-)

Year end closing for year 2008, don't bother if it balance off, i am not accountant anyway!

Dragon-i @ Queensbay

婆婆和妈妈都很节俭，假如没带她们吃一下好的，她们都粗茶淡饭过日子。
今天陪婆婆复诊后就带她们到Dragon-i@Queensbay去,难得请得动她们hehe

我们点了炒拉面,排骨拉面, 云吞,白果玉米,甜品还有小龙包。
全部的东西都超好吃，更何况是难得可以三代通堂吃好料。

怎么没有小龙包的照片？肚子饿，吃光了忘了拍照。

下次叫mai爸爸和弟弟。

Hot Spring @ Ulu Legong, Baling

Family day trip to Ulu Legong hot spring.
We woke up so early this morning and headed to Baling, a small town near SP.
Not really near actually, it took 45 minutes journey via trunk road.

We had simple breakfast in Baling, then continue another 19km journey to the hot spring.


The hot spring operates 24 hours.
Rm4 entrance fee per person is quite cheap.

There are several pools at the hot spring.

...this pool is for children obviously, but how many "kanak-kanak" can you spot?

This is the first pool and the hottest where water flows from the hot spring.

The water temperature is about 60C so no one can go into the pool.

But there are some other things we can do...like...

thermal massage using a hot bag or...

cook half-boiled eggs

We adopted a stray puppy few days ago, "welcome to our home"!!!
It was so thin and so dirty.
So besides thinking a nice name for the puppy, we need a very big make over.

We call it Pipi for now, since it is a puppy.

Isn't it cute and innocent??

Pizza making

I learnt how to make pizza from sis today.
Too lazy to make the dough ourselves, we bought ready made dough.
Very simple, as we are playing Pizza Dash in Yahoo

Spread tomato puree on top

Put mushroom, pineapple, chicken chunks, hotdogs, capsicum, diced tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and whatever you feel like eating on top

Voila! Done!

Ikan bakar for breakfast

This morning dad brought us for breakfast at the ikan bakar stall near Intan in SP.
Ikan bakar for breakfast?? Yes, ikan bakar for breakfast.
Less oily than dim sum that we always have.
We had ikan kembung...

Hot and sour sauce with belacan for dipping

Frankly speaking, the food served was average, but it is one of the places with memories since we always go there whenever sis and i are back in SP. The moments spent together are so precious :-)

冬至

可以回家和家人团聚吃汤圆，太幸福了。
和往常一样，每逢佳节，我都一定会回SP。
因为我觉得我们必须珍惜可以一家团聚,一起撮汤圆的时光。
只不过今年dear到外地工干,迟些才会回来。

今年除了撮传统的红绿白的汤圆，我们还尝试了内餡是chocolate的汤圆。
味道不错，但我比较喜欢黑芝麻和红豆内餡。

除了汤圆，我们也顺便弄了另一种糕点，内餡是椰糖，外面洒了椰丝的onde-onde.

吃了汤圆，我又长一岁了。

停电

在KL好像很少会遇到停电，好像只遇过一次。

好久都没尝试停电了，有点怀念。

上次回hometown刚好有一晚停电，婆婆见我开心的样子感到奇怪。

"停电也要拿手机拍吗？"

小时候最讨厌停电，因为功课做不完， 怎么办？

更讨厌老师总是爱叫我们写<<停电的一晚>>的作文，反正故事的情节一般普遍。

不是写在厕所做蛋糕的弟弟突然大叫冲出厕所，就写在漆黑中摸索找蜡烛, 大家座在一起讲鬼故事, 玩手影。

没想到时隔多年，我竟然叙述我着有多怀念停电。

如今没有赶不完的功课，也不用在漆黑中摸索，手机有灯呀！

根本不会有弟弟冲出厕所的情节, 应该改为弟弟继续玩收机或在laptop看戏。

这次停电只有15分钟, 但已足以让我感受到童年的回忆。

其实以前假如停电，就会看到邻居们都出来聊天。

而我就会到院子采番石榴叶往蜡烛那里烧, 会有一种很香的味道。

但现在治安不好，再加上以前的一班邻居小孩和我们都长大了, 再也没以前那样了。

也许他们也和我一样怀念停电......

Eating again...

Grrr....hungry hungry!!
Whenever i use my brain, i get hungry very quickly
That's why i usually gained weight during study weeks in uni time, because i eat whenever i use my brain.
Erm....in other words, if i am not hungry, it means i am doing something without using my brain.

I found a shop selling very nice pineapple tarts, a bit different from the one i bought in Malacca.

Selling at 1 for RM1.30 is a bit pricy, but eating only 1 of it makes me feel full.

I also bought "sunflower" biscuit just because it looks nice.

The red bean paste stuffed inside was not sweet enough.

Went shopping with sis during the weekend...

Too bad, i can never beat my own record to shop 10 hours which i made few years back

Imagine, 10 hours of shopping, 3 shopping malls in 1 day!

Those were the days...

We wanted to try the famous "coconut chicken" near Times Square, but no parking :(
So we decided to head for Kaki Corner in Taman Billion

A jug of "giant" @ Rm5., enough for two to share

The portion was rather small....but very nice and nothing to complain with the price RM10-RM12

Next time can bring my bear bear to go there and eat, i think he needs to order at least two dishes hehe

Penang Cendol

Teochew style cendol??
Whatever lah, as long as it is nice

Mum and i shared a bowl of cendol, we are small eaters hehe
The cendol was nice...if you don't think of hygenic thingy
I will "tapao" instead of eat in next time

And look! Who has been here before....

I heard of the place called "chaorasta" long long time ago, but here i am for the first time

Oops...我又大吃大喝了(Kepong蟹篇)

超爱吃蟹！
可以不顾一切，增肥几公斤都暂时无所谓。
Kepong Tak Fok 的蟹更不用说, yum yum!

说什么经济不景气，吃好料的人也没减少。
那天超多人，要排队，还下雨。
结果我们也只好迁就点，坐在走廊的桌子。
走廊人来人往，感觉人家路过时都在看我们吃，有点不自在。

我们点了招牌豆腐。
好象是豆腐加上鱼肉弄成的，热热吃很好吃，凉了就有点膩。

我吃过最好吃的炸馒头。

再配上cheese蟹，好吃到舔手指!


er...我不吃的lala。
不喜欢蚌类的味道和口感，除了鲜毫配柠檬还可以。
Dear解决掉它。

我不是很斯文的人，加上吃蟹要敲敲打打，还要舔手指hehe，跟dear去吃是最好了，他认识透我了。
幸好我们第一次约会他没带我吃蟹，不然就破工了!形象完全破灭!

Flood in Hanoi

My last experience playing water during flood was 19 years ago haha, when i was 6 in Kelantan.
Flash flood in Hanoi was worse than ours in KL, i guess. Never experienced flash flood in KL.

It was a long way to back home in Malaysia, gotta think of a way to get out of this area then only could go to the airport.

4WD wasn't a good choice, it went dead in the middle of the road

Bus?Hm...good enough, it was still moving

Unfortunately, it was not heading to where you wanted to go

Motocycle? never think of it, you would end up pushing it to the mechanic

Walk? good idea....

Walk until you are out of this area and catch a taxi to the airport

..and you still have time to take some shots on the scenery lol
