Oopss....i break my own rules

Oopss...i break my own rules everyday recently....

It's all dear dear's fault!
Since he is back in Malaysia, i have been eating nice food non-stop.

I promised myself not to eat fattening and oily food until i drop to certain weight and that i will only eat fruits and vege for dinner.

No one "kacau" my plan and i have been very disciplined all the while....until he came back.
He said he miss local food so much....so we start eating here and there loh.

There is no "wan tan mee" in Vietnam...but you can find "Pho" everywhere.
So we headed to Weng Kee @ SS2 for dear's favourite wan tan mee...

"sui kau" soup and my favourite...

duck soup with tangerine

During the weekend, we went to Ipoh Road Yong Tau Foo @Kota Damansara.

Then, we went to Happy City Foodcourt @ Kepong for claypot curry.
er...we still prefer the one in Kota D'sara

In these few days, we also had "Lo Mai Kai".

"Siu Pau"

"Ha Kau"

...and "Siu Mai".

The loh mai kai, siu pao and ha kau tasted really good.
Although they were slightly expensive....it was still worth it.
I love them so much!
In fact, i dun blame dear dear for this meal hehe :P

We found a new Hokkien fried noddle restaurant in Kota D'sara and decided to give it a try.
Instead of gas, they use charcoal.

Dear ordered fish cakes.

And here is the main dish...hokkien style fried noddle.
It tasted "ngam ngam" and just nice. The Hokkien say as "Tu Tu Ho".
Not too salty compare to the one i always have.
But i don't know why i get Chinese Restaurant Syndrom after eating these.
Dear was not enough with the first 2 dishes and he ordered Singapore style fried mee hoon and salted vege soup.

Just now, we went for steamboat at The Curve.
We ordered 2 personal sets.

With plain and curry soup base.

With the ingredients, i made a special bowl of curry noddle for dear.

Dear is not done with the food yet.
We have so many plans ahead.....and many kg to put on too.

Tomorrow we are going to Jogoya Japanese Buffet Restaurant.
Followed by dim sum in Ipoh, seafood in PG and CNY dishes and cookies.
OMG!!
But most importantly, we have great moments with great food.

Shilla Korean Buffet

Dear and i passed by Shilla Korean Buffet @ The Curve.
Since we have not tried Korean buffet before, why not give it a try.
I think it costs RM48 per person.

Varities of Korean dishes....but mostly are beef :(
Too bad for us
So we ended up taking those Nipon-style dishes instead of Korean.
The mussels are nice.

The BBQ chicken taste just like our satay.
Nice too.

This is the "mee sua".
The noodles are very tender.
Worth trying but i don't really like it.

It looks ugly but it's nice.

The noodles are like our local "Hokkien Mee".
Nice, but local Hokkien Mee is nicer.
Sashimi
Sushi

Vege and salad are a must for me in every meal.

They also have chocoloate fountain and cakes.
To me, the cakes's texture are bit dry.

Niu Zhe Xui

I went to the newly opened outdoor shopping bazaar at Ara Damansara.
It is called Niu Zhe Xui.
The radio station has been promoting the opening of this bazaar weeks ago with "grand" flower bazaar and HK artists performance. Actually i went there because Charmaine Sheh is performing that evening.

But then it turned out to be a dissapointment to me. The place is just like another flea market, things sold there are slightly better than Petaling Street. That's it. So did the flower bazzar selling potted plants for CNY. Nothing special.

I walked around for half an hour and headed home. Too boring...

Happy Cooking

Yeah...dear dear is coming back to MY!
I am cooking his favourite lotus roots soup.

Cut the lotus roots into pieces...

Soak grounduts to soften them

Red dates

and some dried oysters to sweeten the soup

Put in pinches of salt according to my mood haha

Ladle oil on top of soup...it's bad for health

VOILA!

Very easy right?hehe

Formal mail to request for more shoes

(I am too used to receive and reply users' email. So i am doing the same to my dear dear when i have some requests)

Dear "dear dear",

I am a 2 legged mammal but i have many shoes.
Sometimes, i may forget to wear some of the shoes as they are kept in the boxes.
I think i need to manage my shoes in a better way....
in other words...i want a huge shoes rack so that i can see all my shoes in a glance.

For temporary, i keep all the shoes in boxes and label them with sticky notes (full description on the boxes).

And out all the shoes i have, these are on the hotlist.

These are the result of my shoes collection analysis:
1. I need a shoes rack
2. I am lack of red, yellow, blue, purple and brown shoes
3. I need more slippers
I forward the analysis result for your action hahaha!
Thank you and have a nice day.
With love,
Sue the Millipede

Looking for the best posture to sit

I have back-ache......the whole day i am moving here and there, tying to find the best posture to sit.

People claim that OL (office ladies) tend to have bigger hips...because they sit, sit and sit whole day in the office. In the end, their figures became pear shape.

I always complain that i have small hip compared to J.Lo's, but now i start to worry.
Seems like i am developing horizontally and at the lower part....*sob*

Can someone teach me how to sit??
I am trying this way now: sit straight and hold my breath. Use the abdomen instead of back bone to sit straight. I think that burns fat at the right place at least hehe.

When my neighbour cooks salty fish...

The best place to test your sense of smell is to visit my apartment.
Everyday around 5 to 7pm, u will get all sorts of smell....

Well, some smells are nice...some really stink!
I actually close all my windows and doors while i am writing this blog.
My neighbour is cooking salty fish.

Argh..u know...the smell is really !@#$%^&*~
I guess this is the best time for the housewives to compete their cooking "kungfu".
I do cook, but my kitchen never smells that way....neither the good way nor the bad way.

Looks like i have to work harder to be at the same level with them.
For sure, one day my kitchen will smell too!

...and today, this plate of kangkung with dried shrimps smells too :P

Year 2008

I hope it is not too late for me to plan my new year resolutions now.

Well, year 2007 was a great year for me. Good things happened throughout the year.

Hm...things are not as smooth as i wish so far in the first 22 days of 2008.
Things are not bad, just that they are not smooth.
To be at the positive side, i should say that it is and will be a challenging year.
I will work for the best no matter what.

Actually, there is nothing much about my new year resolutions too...
1. i want to slim down
2. save more money and spend less
3. stay healthy and happy

That's it. Simple and realistic resolutions without gigantic projects.

Gone

My granduncle passed away of cancer last week.
I have seen how he had lost his weight from the day he was told about the disease, to a skeleton-skinny weak man on the day he died. Cancer comes in silence, so does death.

Although he had to leave, i know this will free him from all the suffers.

May he rest in peace.

"Virgin Tiramisu"

I was in a super-good mood that day, so i decided to make my "virgin tiramisu".

Prepare a container, stick-biscuits, a brush, thick coffee, mascaporne cheese, whipping cream and 2 egg yokes. They cost about RM18.00

Lay the biscuits in the container and brush them with coffee.

Mix sugar and egg yokes.
How much sugar depends on your mood wakaka.

Pour whipping cream and beat the mixture.

Don't forget to have fun!

Pour the mixture into the container.

Form another layer of biscuits.

VOILA! My 1st tiramisu is done.
Chill it in the fridge.
Enjoy it 20 minutes later and gain weight after that. :-)
